David Noel
David Noel was born in Britain in 1935. He gained a science degree at Cambridge University, and after national service in the Army Intelligence Corps, worked in the building products manufacturing industry as an industrial chemist for 5 years.
In 1964 he migrated to Perth and held a staff position at the University of Western Australia for the next 24 years, mostly working on automating library processes. Since 1988 he has been Director of the Tree Crops Centre in Subiaco.
After the science degree, he gained various qualifications in Russian, Librarianship, Geology, and Nursery Management.
