What is Dark Energy?
Dark Energy is just an invention of the Big Bangers to explain their assertion that the Universe is not only expanding, but that its expansion is actually accelerating. Once you accept that the Universe is not expanding, all need for the concept just disappears.
If you look up "dark energy" on Wikipedia, you'll find that it's just a name invented to explain something unknown. Here's part of what it says.
Wikipedia: It has been noted that the names "dark matter" and "dark energy" serve mainly as expressions of our ignorance, much as the marking of early maps with "terra incognita".
Dark Matter is quite different from Dark Energy. Dark Matter exists, and is needed to explain the motion of galaxies and galactic clusters under gravity. But, as Wikipedia says, its nature has been unknown. Only recently has it been found that Dark Matter is just ordinary matter which. for some reason, is not seen by telescopes.
