When a floating freshwater lake reservoir contained sufficient water, it could be towed to the coast near the desired usage point.
INDICATIONS
Because the fresh water is less dense than the sea water, the filled reservoir would continue to float on the surface.
With a reservoir made up of a number of cells, individual cells could be towed away for use.
Alternatively, a filled reservoir or cell could be pumped or decanted into a transport structure for towing.
Development of devices and control software is possible here, with new approaches open to patenting or trade-secreting.
