To maintain vacuum in tethered vacuum balloons, air leaking in could be withdrawn from the ground.
INDICATIONS
By incorporating a rigid tube into the tether, a vacuum could be maintained above and in the tether with vacuum pumps working on the ground end of the tether. This removes the need for balloon-based air-scavenging equipment.
Scavenge tubes could be extended over a complete array of vacuum balloons.
Development of devices and control software is possible here, with new approaches open to patenting or trade-secreting.
